Accreditations and recognition of the university
Accreditation for the University in Minnesota:
Since its establishment, the Islamic University of Minnesota has sought to obtain full permits for the university, and academic recognition for its study programs, and it has been registered with the Government of Minnesota in the United States with the number: (EIN 80-0938606) as a Non-profit Religious Educational Institution and exempt from tax (501C3).
The university was also licensed by the Office of Higher Education in the state of Minnesota to grant bachelor's, master's, and doctoral degrees in Islamic Studies, and the Arabic Language in all its fields, certified by the US State Department, which facilitates the acceptance and recognition of the university and its certificates at the global level.
Recognition of the university at the international level:
The university is taking steady steps to obtain global and academic recognition for its study programs, through agreements concluded by the university with major international universities, through (30), in more than (20) countries. The branches have been accredited by the ministries of higher education in those countries.
The university obtained the recognition of the Federal Ministry of Higher Education from the Ministry of Higher Education in the Federal Republic of Somalia, through the university branch in Somalia, under the number: (WWWHTS/XAG/161/2016) on September 8, 2016. The scope of this office is ( Somalia - Kenya - Djibouti - Uganda - Eritrea - Sudan). The student obtains his official documents after graduating, authenticated by the university, and attested by the state of Minnesota, the Notary, and the US State Department. In addition, the attestation of some countries' embassies in Washington.
